A part of creating a brand awareness campaign for your company is finding an influencer in your field and approaching it to represent your brand. It is the same with bloggers. You can determine them to poach your article or your topic and to insert it in his/her blog. One of the most important issues is how you determine whom you should approach and whom you shouldn’t.

What Type of Influencer Do You Need?

Before answering this question, you should take into consideration another angle. What kind of influencer do you need: one from LinkedIn, Google +, Twitter, a blogger or someone else? This choice depends on your business: if you have an online shop, you will need a blogger or someone from Facebook to affiliate with. If your company is providing high class services, you will approach a LinkedIn influencer and so on.

How Can You Find the Best Influencer?

This is another sensitive aspect that you need to pay a very close attention. Let’s start with bloggers. Look for those bloggers that have influence in your area of expertise. Then, compare them by readership, interaction with their followers and social media presence. If you need a social media influencer, check every channel and you will easily see who are the most appropriate influencers for your business. You can also try Klout, Traackr, eCairn, Circle Count for Google + and many more.

How to Contact Them?

Usualy, people are sensible at the way others approach them, so it will be easer first to interact with their blogs, communities or posts, to read, comment and to get to know them, their style and preferences. This way it will be easyer to find the winning formula to approach them and to succeed in having them on your side. If you are shy or afraid to make a fool of yourself, remember this: don’t be! Just be yourself and behave like in real life, when you meet people and talk to them directly.

Bref, influencers are there for you. They have great knowledge and can be very useful for your business. Their know – how and added value will be a great asset for your brand. But, if you don’t trust you persuasive ability, you should let the professionals to handle your brand awareness campaign, someone that made this plenty of time and is capable of providing you the best solutions.
